Hey guys!
10 days............But who's counting!!!!!!!
This blog entry will be vague because this week will probably change often,
I am not going to list the work for the days, so if your child is absent, call the office to get the daily work.

I have some exciting news........... Thanks to Mrs. Chang, she has offered her house for our end of the year party! The party will start at 2:30 at her house. I will send home directions soon. What I will need are volunteers to help chaperone and to bring items. I need:
  • paper products
  • drinks- juice and water
  • pizzas
  • veggie tray
  • cake
  • cutlery
  • fruit tray
  • any other treats

This promises to be the bash of the year!!!!!! I hope that all students can attend. We want to celebrate the great year and all our successes!!!!!!

Monday will be the 1st-4th awards ceremony. Come join us in celebrating the students who will receive awards!

Friday will be the 8th grade carnival starting at 10:00.

The weekly work will change so my students need to write in their planner daily

Our field trip to Mariposa was a blast. My students were so well behaved, too!!! What an experienced- they learned a lot (so did I )!

THIS FRIDAY IS MAY CROWNING AND GRANDPARENT'S DAY. I HOPE THAT MANY OF YOUR GRANDPARENTS WILL BE JOINING US FOR THIS SPECIAL DAY! This is also a 12:30 dismissal.

WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!!!!!
COUNT DOWN TO SUMMER HAS BEGUN!!!! YES- 7 WEEKS!

FRIDAY is our Communion Service at The Hampshire and the place across the street (it has changed its name and I have forgotten it oops!) This service is a little tricky because we have to break the class and do two services at the same time. I will need a parent or parents to run one of the services for me. I will practice with the children so all that parent will have to do is supervise.

Week 3-29 to 4-1

Dear 4th graders and parents

I am so proud of you! Our trip to visit our pen pals was a great success!!!!! Your behavior was excellent. Our pen pals had so much fun. This will be a trip that will never be forgotten!

This is a short week - Thursday is Holy Thursday and a 12:30 dismissal. We are off Good Friday. Please remember to get to Mass this weekend!!!! Next week we are off to enjoy Easter and the beautiful spring weather!

We have a Commuion Service trip on Friday, April 16, 2010. These are the parents who have signed up to drive to this event:

Week 3-8 to 3-12

Hey 4th graders and parents:

Well, It's that time again-Conferences! Please remember that each conference is 15 min. and I have to keep to a tight schedule because of the number of conferences I have each day. I am glad that we have a second set of conferences towards the end of the year, so that we can discuss your child's growth and what they can work on over the summer to be ready for 5th grade. If you have questions or concerns this is the time to discuss them. I also appreciate constructive criticism, so I can learn or improve my teaching strategies. See you soon!

Language arts- We have started reading An Incredible Journey. Lesson plans will be up in the air and will depend on what we get done. If your child is absent, please call another student to get the work or call the school to reach me. We will start to have sp and vocab tests using words from the book. These words will be from two chapters at a time. This week the words will be given on Monday from chapters 1-2. Assignments will be given periodically to assess understanding of text. Also, we will be working on story elements throughout the book. Work will be done in a reading journal that will be given to them this week.
